St. Pete may not be the North Pole, but City of St. Petersburg’s
Parks and Recreation Department goes the extra mile every
holiday season to create a dazzling display along the downtown
waterfront. Take a stroll to enjoy thousands of holiday
lights and decorations in North Straub Park, South Straub
Park, Pioneer Park, Al Lang Park and Albert Whitted Park from
November 24 through January 1. Mark your calendars for these
special holiday events, sure to light up the face of both young
and old.
Fun For The Kids
Santa Parade
to town and Mayor
Kriseman lights up the
waterfront. The annual
Santa Parade will be
Saturday, November
24, at 5:30 p.m. Parade
begins at Albert Whitted
Park and runs along
Bayshore Drive and 5th Avenue NE. The Tree Lighting will be at
8 pm in North Straub Park. Bring a blanket and lawn chairs and
enjoy entertainment, children’s activities, music and more.
Visit Santa in North Straub Park
Dec. 1: 11 am to 2 pm
Snowfest
Kids will have a blast at Snowfest on Saturday, December 1,
from 10 am to 3 pm in North Straub Park. Activities include a
toboggan slide, art tent, karaoke, moonwalk, giant slide and a
Kiddyland area designed especially for tots. Wristbands are $5.
Holiday Movies in the Park
Bring your blanket or lawn chairs to settle
in for a holiday movie in Vinoy Park.
Movie start at 7 pm; admission is free .
