Enjoying the Holidays Guilt Free

Typically, around this time of year with the holidays, good lifestyle
habits tend to get derailed. Healthy eating, exercise, and taking
supplements will be a thought of the past for most. Two solid
months of, well, for lack of a better word “gluttony” can really wreak
havoc on our health. Not only are we indulging in delectable treats
with beverages and food, we also get stressed out with shopping,
travel, family visits and accomplishing all we need to by celebration
day! It is such a joyful time of year, I asked Dr. Forbes for some
insight on how we can enjoy the season with so many temptations
surrounding us.
diet during the holidays?
True it happens to everyone. First let me start with: I do not believe
in the word “diet”. It has a negative connotation to it, when people
go on a “diet” they feel deprived, when someone feels deprived they
tend to eat more or worse. I believe in educating my patients that
food can be the best medicine or it can be the worst medicine, you
have to listen to your body with how you react to certain foods. I
feel the general public has been misled with which foods are healthy
or unhealthy. I prefer to educate them as to the best nutrient rich
balance hormones, make them feel sexier. Yes, eating and stress
hormone, the largest anti-aging hormone, which can make you gain
weight, age prematurely and harm the libido. Your food intake will
addicted to feeling good! The goal is to make people feel sharper,
trimmer and sexier than they’ve ever felt, and giving them tools to
do so with ease.
Can you share some tips with us on what to do if we do
overindulge?
We’re all going to indulge. It’s about getting back on track and
supplying your body with adequate nutrients and supplements. I’m
not talking about cardboard and grass kind of food, I am talking
