Every year is like trading camp. They’re just going from one group to the next. And that’s because it’s difficult. We’re blessed to
live in Haywood County. We’re all from Haywood County, so we have a similar upbringing; we all have similar needs and wants. It
works for us, because we don’t have to work as hard to keep it together,” Buddy says. That special sentiment of home is certainly
carried with the band on the road. “We go all over the world telling people where home is,” says Tim, “and that’s a big part of
it for us…to talk about Haywood County, Western North Carolina, how cool it is here, how beautiful it is here.”
Balsam Range continues to feel energized and believes they are not finished yet. Drawing from experience gained over the years,
the group now tries to strategize for what is next, set a goal, and form a team around them that will help them reach it. “All you
can control are the variables you have control of, which is the style of music we play,
the type of songs we play, and the people that surround us,” says Buddy. “If we can
keep that at this point, where it’s fun, then the success will continue if it’s meant to be.”
Balsam Range plans to create a new project in 2020.
