Library Launches Free Online Tutoring and Job Search
Assistance for All Ages
The Clearwater Public Library System is pleased to
Winter l Spring 13
announce the launch of Brainfuse – on demand,
anytime, anywhere e-Learning for all ages and levels.
Brainfuse HelpNow™ provides
customized learning tools for
users of diverse needs and
backgrounds. Students can communicate with live tutors any
day of the week, from 2-11 p.m. EST, using an interactive
whiteboard to chat, write, draw, copy/paste text or images
and graph homework problems. Additionally, users can
submit papers through the writing lab for detailed feedback.
The 24/7 Center options give users the freedom to find
assistance at any time of the day without connecting with
a live tutor. HelpNow™ can create individualized learning
plans based on skills assessments as well as personalized
flashcards on a wide variety of topics. Students can also
organize their own online, collaborative study groups.
The Adult Learning Center is the adult learners’ version
of HelpNow™, where patrons can access test preparation
(including the GED and the USCIS citizenship test), résumé
assistance, Microsoft Office support, and career and jobseeking
resources.
Brainfuse JobNow™ is a versatile,
online service designed to
support every step of the job
search process. JobNow™ features live interview coaching,
personalized job search assistance, interview tips and career
resources. Job seekers can use the Résumé Lab, where
they can submit their résumés any time and a job coach
will send it back within 24 hours with detailed feedback
and suggestions for improvement. Users are also able to
download résumé templates and browse resources for
producing better résumés.
