Weaving: A Take-and-Make Craft

then stop by the Clearwater East
Community Library for a take-andmake
craft kit. Pick up your kit inside
the East branch or at the branch's
drive-through. Each month, we
will create a different weaving craft.
Supplies will be provided. Share
your completed project by posting a
message on the library’s Facebook page
(facebook.com/clearwaterlib) or show a
librarian. Unclaimed kits will be offered
to patrons on the waiting list.

Virtual Crafting: Tassel Earrings
Create your own pair of tassel earrings
with supplies and instruction provided
by the library. Registration is required
at myclearwaterlibrary.com to reserve
a craft kit. Supplies are limited. You’ll
need needle-nose pliers and scissors.
Craft kits contain three skeins of
embroidery floss, two earring hooks
and four jump rings. Registrants
will be contacted when craft kits are
ready for pickup at the Countryside
Library. If the kit is not picked up
during the specified time period, it
will be forfeited and given to the next
patron on the waiting list. A link will
be posted to this event Jan. 3 at noon
that will direct patrons to the library's
online video on how to create the craft.
The video will also be posted to the
library’s YouTube channel. Registration
for this event is simply to reserve a craft
kit, which are limited in number.

Fun with Felt: A Take-and-Make
Craft

Zoom Color Theory Drawing/
Painting Class
Join Shawn Dell Joyce on Zoom for
this virtual, interactive, color theory
class, in which participants will change
the mood of Van Gogh's paintings
by changing the color temperature.
Interpret Van Gogh's "Sower" by
changing all the warm colors to cool.
See how color affects mood in a
painting. If you can’t attend the Zoom
class, a recording will be available on
the library’s YouTube channel. The
Zoom link will be sent to registrants
the day before class. You will need
drawing or painting paper and any
color medium you choose (watercolor
paint, acrylic paint, colored pencils,
crayons or pastels). Registration is
required at myclearwaterlibrary.com.
Spots are limited. Do not register if you
cannot attend the live stream.
