Hats On to the Arts
Hats On to the Arts, an inaugural sold-out fundraiser for the Museum of Fine Arts, St. Petersburg, was presented by its Collectors
Circle support group and orchestrated by the group’s president Cynthia Astrack, along with her co-chairs Simone DeLoach and
Keith Bucklew. Guests attended wearing a wide assortment of creative and favorite hats, which were judged by Steven Anderson
and Andrew Ashton of LaPosh Salon in Clearwater, who are the founders of the nonprofit organization My Fairy Godfathers.
The evening at the St. Petersburg Yacht Club featured hors d’oeuvres, special “Hat-tails” and music by the James Suggs Trio.
Kristen Shepherd, the MFA’s CEO and
executive director, and her husband
Todd Berman surmised from the success
of Hats On to the Arts that it could
become an annual event.
Louise Wilborn of Tampa was thrilled to attend with
her two sons, Paul Wilborn, executive director of
The Palladium at St. Petersburg College in
St. Petersburg, and Steven Wilborn, who was
visiting from San Francisco.
