LEVEL 4
Acts which result in violence
to another person’s property
or which pose a direct threat
to the safety of others in the
school.
These acts are clearly criminal
and are so serious that they
always require administrative
actions which result in the
immediate removal of the
student from the school, the
intervention of law
enforcement authorities and
possible action by the Board
of Education.
Numbers listed to the right of
misbehaviors are the same numbers
assigned to the behaviors in the
Conduct Warranting Disciplinary
Action section.
All unmodified LEVEL 3
misbehaviors which continue,
including the following:
Terroristic Threatening .............. 9
Burglary..................................... 15
Robbery ..................................... 16
Possession of Weapons ............ 18
Theft over $100 ......................... 20
Alcohol/Controlled Sub. ......... 24
Bomb Threat ............................. 26
Arson/Attempted Arson ........ 28

The administrator verifies the
offense, confers with the staff
involved and meets with the
student.
The student is immediately
removed from the school
environment. Parents are
notified.
School officials contact law
enforcement agency and
assist in prosecuting offender.
A complete and accurate
report is submitted to the
Superintendent for board
action.
The student is given a full
due process hearing before
the board.
NOTE: The listing of response
options is not in sequential or
progressive order. Any of the
options may be applied to any offense
at the discretion of the administrator
involved.

POSSIBLE RESPONSE LEVELS
School level administrators have the right to implement the local school code of conduct or the district possible response options of their
choice. The order in which response options are listed are not necessarily in the order in which the responses may occur.
