POSITIVE BEHAVIOR (PBIS) BUS EXPECTATIONS
The Knox County Public Schools have adopted the following positive behavior expectations for student transportation to and from
school, field trips, athletic trips, athletic trips, and all other times of transportation by the K.C.S.D.

Stay in single file
Go directly to seat as
assigned
Sit safely in an upright
position facing forward (back
to back and bottom to
bottom)
Only talk to the person in
your seat
Voice level – 2 Conversation
level (only a small group
around you should hear you)
Keep everything inside the
bus (body parts and
belongings)
Stay in your seat until the bus
comes to a complete stop
Move in and out of the
danger zone safely
Allow for personal space
(keep hands and feet to self /
no public display of affection)
Respect the property of
others
Use language appropriate for
all ages (no bad words / no
bad slang)
Keep all belongings in your
backpack and in the seat with
you
Clean up after yourself
(make sure your seat and
area is free of trash before
leaving the bus)
Take care of the bus and
each other
