PLAN YOUR COLOR SCHEME
To unite the multiple collections, we
wanted to develop a cohesive color
scheme. Using a picture of a kitchen
online, we chose olive green, mauve,
white, and black for a fresh, modern
take. A little bit of gold gives the
project an added touch of glam. We
kept it natural with linen and cotton
fabrics, and coordinated our thread
colors to match.
2
GATHER YOUR NOTIONS
For our barista gear, we decided to
pull in the black and gold from the
color scheme and echo those colors
in the notions. Matte black buttons
and black ribbon tie in the black
pattern on the apron fabric, while
metallic gold elastic accents the gold
lamé fabric and gold metallic threads.
A simple black frame looks perfect
with the gold and white and goes
with most decor.

DOUBLE CHECK DIMENSIONS
It’s important when mixing collections
to size everything appropriately.
To create the apron pocket using a
new embroidered design, we first
measured the dimensions of the
pocket in the design file, which is
7” x 9”. Then, we picked a vertically
orientated design and used the C
size, which is 5.7” x 8”. This way, the
typography fits within the dimensions
of the pocket.
