at 4 p.m. from the front gate of the
Boca Grande Club for their “social
distancing walk.”
The Suncoast Humane Society reached a $300,000 goal
thanks to a matching donation campaign for the shelter.
Because of the closure of Suncoast’s vitally-important thrift
stores, funds were dwindling rapidly.
Peter and Elsa Soderberg, a couple who have donated very
generously in the past to the society, once again stepped
up to the plate and donated half the money, in the hopes
the community would match their donation. They were not
disappointed, and Suncoast continues to thrive.
