It has a full bar, great food, live music and
plenty of dockage. Make sure to try their
homemade chips and redfish platter. They
also serve breakfast on Sundays from 7:30
until 11:30 a.m.
Once back on the ICW you will find yourself
in Gasparilla Sound. Here we throttle up and
head south all the way to Boca Grande
Marina, where Eagle Grille/Miller’s Dockside
is located. The channel is well marked; make
sure you contact the marina for dockage
instructions.
Downstairs at Miller’s Dockside you will find
a full bar and great climate-controlled seating
on the water. Our favorite here would have to
be the Ahi tuna nachos –a small order with
double meat. Order it that way and they’ll
think you’re a local.
The Eagle Grille features a large dining
room upstairs with views of the marina. It can
accommodate private parties and large
groups. Call ahead for large groups.
Just up the channel from Boca Grande
Marina (heading north) is The Pink Elephant,
also just known as “The Pink.” It is a very
popular restaurant on Gasparilla Island,
operated by The Gasparilla Inn & Club. It has dock
access directly across the street from the
restaurant. Lunch specials there include a famous
Cobb Salad, the “Pink” BLT or a pastrami French
dip, and signature drinks include an apple-pear
martini or a Pink Spritz.
The Outlet at The Innlet, a small but very
popular breakfast and lunch spot on Gasparilla
Island, is also operated by The Gasparilla Inn &
Club. There is dockage there, indoor seating and
outdoor seating on the water. Daily features are
omelets, pancakes, French toast and traditional
lunch items that are always on point.
The Outlet serves daily from 7 a.m. until 2 p.m.
Their box lunches are great option for anglers, or
for anyone heading out on the water. The chef
can also prepare your catches for a satisfying meal
upon your return from a morning of fishing.
Backtracking back down the channel and out
into Charlotte Harbor, head south until you find
North Pine Island and Bokeelia. When you leave
Boca Grande Marina you will head out straight,
slightly to the right.
Across the harbor you will see channel marker
number 97. You will continue toward Jug Creek,
