Silver Coffee
“Moonlit Pub Crawl,” the annual benefit for the Children’s Home Society of Florida’s Gulf Coast Division, continues a tradition
started by the original Silver Coffee Committee in 1978. The event is known for its homemade food that is prepared by the
Committee members themselves. The Children’s Home Society of Florida serves more than 1,200 local children and families each
year through a myriad of specialized services.
John Slaughter is proud that his wife Patricia
was one of the founders of the Silver Coffee
Committee and is still active with it 37 years later.
Ann Lea and Nicole Piccarreto were the Committee
chairs for this year’s Silver Coffee, which featured
European pub-style cuisine, specialty craft beers
and music.
Natalie and Ed Safee graciously hosted the
fundraiser at their palatial waterfront home in
Belleair Bluffs.
Steve and Carynn Thompson are pleased to be
able to help the Children’s Home Society in its
efforts to provide a full spectrum of programs to
protect children.
Rebecca and Michael Cantonis, who were married
last year, are carrying on his family’s tradition
of supporting the community.
Myra Hemerick and her husband, Clearwater
dentist Dr. David Hemerick, believe that the
Children’s Home Society is the best place to
begin to break the cycle of hurt.
