has been appointed the new director of
cultural affairs for the City of St. Petersburg
by Mayor Rick Kriseman.
Marlene Rose, the Clearwater-based
glass artist, will have her work on display
in the storefront of Gump’s, downtown
San Francisco’s 150-year-old institution,
which is known for its unique and special
works of art.

Nancy and David Ridenour held a Circles of Giving
reception in their Dunedin home for donors to
the Dunedin Fine Art Center.
John Piazza, the president of the Armed
Forces History Museum in Largo, was
featured on the History Channel 2’s Museum
Men. The show highlights the Museum’s
new exhibit of the Bell X1 Jet that Chuck
Yeager flew in 1947 to break the sound
barrier.
Richard Gonzmart is honored that his
family’s new restaurant Ulele has been
named a winner in the OpenTable Diners’
Choice Awards for being one of the top
100 restaurants in the world, even though
it has only been open since August of
2014. Ulele is the only Tampa restaurant
to receive the award for their unique food
and spirits that fuse elements of Native
American and multicultural influences
and features indigenous items from local
waters and farms.
