says ”death” or the legal authorities
say “incarceration.” What it
comes down to is that many of us
get complacent in our situation
until we are confronted by something
that makes us begin to look
for help.
This man was sitting there
for 38 years, and maybe at first
thought it was an okay because
people paid him extra attention or
gave him money. But after time
people begin to look at and treated
him differently. His situation
looked impossible.
Many life-controlling issues
come about because of things that
happen in life. Maybe the person
was abused, molested, had addicted
parents, no parents, made a
bad decision concerning sex or an
abortion. And this led them into
a lifestyle of bondage to life-controlling
issues. At first the family,
friends and legal system may say
“well, they had a bad experience or
childhood” and they may extend
much mercy, but then after time,
everyone gets fed up and looks at
you as hopeless and your situation
as impossible.
Jesus said to the man, “Rise,
take up your bed and walk.”
When we get to a point that
we are sick and tired of being sick
and tired, when we get to the point
when we are tired of living life behind
bars, or when we reach the
point where we have no quality of
life, if we will cry out to Jesus, He
will tell us to Rise Up!
Just when it looks like our situation
is impossible, Jesus makes
it possible.
Do not wait until you hit bottom
before you cry out for your
miracle. God is ready now!
When Jesus told him to rise
up, the man’s miracle kicked in.
“And immediately the man
was made well, took up his bed,
and walked.”
Immediately his impossible
became possible.
Remember, a miracle is
something not understandable
by natural things but beneficial.
Walking was beneficial. Sobriety
is beneficial. Better health is
beneficial.
The man who lay crippled
for 38 years received his miracle.
His impossible became possible.
If you are struggling with life
controlling issues, the answer
is Jesus and He will make your
impossible, possible. For more
