Clyde Butcher at The Dalí
Photographs that Clyde Butcher
took of Salvador Dalí’s Mediterranean
homeland will be on display at The Dalí
museum in St. Petersburg from June
16th until November 25th. Butcher, who
is known as the “Ansel Adams of the
Florida landscape,” explored areas in
Spain that are prominently featured in
Dalí’s works to provide an artistic portal
between Dalí and himself. The “Visions
of Dalí’s Spain” exhibit will consist of 41
photographs of the Catalonian region.
Clyde Butcher will be at the museum
on June 30th, Sept. 22nd and November
3rd to meet and greet visitors.
Plaja S’Arenella with Boat is among the photos taken by Clyde Butcher in Spain.

Vice Cream
at Publix
Dan Schorr, the founder and CIO (chief
ice cream officer) of the Vice Cream brand, is
a cancer survivor who started the company
as a reaction to the “Live Life” philosophy
he developed following his diagnosis in
2014. His Vice Cream has gained a cult
following for its unapologetically indulgent
ice cream with decadent, playful flavors.
Sold exclusively in Publix supermarkets in
our area, this rich, creamy confection comes
in a variety of tongue-in-cheek flavors that
are loaded with mix-ins. You can choose
from flavors such as Toffee Wife (peanut
butter ice cream with chopped toffee bars,
peanut butter cookie dough and a toffee
ripple) to Breakfast in Bed (sweet maple
ice cream, sticky bun dough, pecan praline
and a touch of cream cheese). The brand
donates a portion of its sales to support
cancer institutes nationwide and promotes
tackling adversity with humor.
