This elegant master bedroom, designed by Jen Kravchuk of Decker Ross Interiors for a private residence on
Indian Rocks Beach, features metallic and mirrored finishes juxtaposed with natural elements, such as the
wood plank accent wall. A grasscloth inset in the recessed tray ceiling, nailhead trim details on the bedding
and ottomans, and a silken area rug, add unique designer touches to this sophisticated master suite.

You probably spend at least one-third of your life in
your bedroom, as it is usually the last thing you
see before going to sleep and the first thing you see
upon waking up. Because of this, your bedroom’s
color choices, décor, furnishings and amenities should
suit your lifestyle, while helping you feel relaxed and
comfortable.
Well-designed and comfortable bedrooms can be created
in a variety of styles; however, they typically have several
commonalities. Elements and colors found in nature
provide a comfortable, soothing basis for the design
aesthetic. Wood, grass cloth and soft fabrics such as silk
and velvet will provide natural textural elements, while a
color palette of various light, neutral tones or shades of pale
spa blues or greens can contribute to the desired tranquility
of the room. Natural circular shapes and even honeycomb
patterns add interest and variation to a beautiful bedroom
retreat. 9
