Value Me Fashion Show
Reds, Whites and Bites
The Beth Dillinger Foundation held its 11th annual luncheon and fashion show at the Hilton Carillon Park in St. Petersburg with
Fox 13’s Laura Moody serving as master of ceremonies for the benefit. The St. Pete Glitter Queens received the 2018 Spirit of Hope
Award, and Cat Coats moderated as Pace Girls modeled their new outfits from Beth’s Closet. The Beth Dillinger Foundation provides
support and education to boys and girls in need through Beth’s Closet at PACE Center for Girls; The Hope Chest that aids abused,
neglected or abandoned children; Beth’s Corner at the Ready for Life organization, which assists youths who are aging out of the
foster care system; the Nourish to Flourish program that helps feed hungry school children; and the Beth Dillinger Scholarship Fund.
The Community Dental Clinic held its Reds, Whites and Bites fundraiser at the Achieva Credit Union Headquarters in Dunedin.
Terry Banning and Diane Gobo co-chaired and Margaret Word Burnside and Aaron Fodiman served as honorary chairs for the
evening of tasting fine wines from around the world and gourmet food from Dunedin’s Hog Island Fish Camp, Clear Sky, The
Honu, Strachan’s Homemade Ice Cream and more. There also was an impressive wine lottery. The Community Dental Clinic
offers routine dental services to the low-income,
uninsured adults of upper Pinellas County. The
charity wine evening will help the clinic expand
its outreach and services.
Cyndi and Steve Heller served on the
committee and helped sponsor the benefit
for the Community Dental Clinic, where he
is board president.

Foundation’s past chair, and Sallie Parks
thanked Mark Weinkrantz for his work on
the new Sallie Parks Scholarship Fund, which
will be managed by the Pinellas Education
and Beth Dillinger Foundations.
LiFT Academy Gala
LiFT Academy in affiliation with LiFT University held its annual fundraiser at the St. Petersburg Coliseum and celebrated its
fifth year of operation. Guests enjoyed a wide array of delectable food, silent and live auctions, and the running of the Preakness
Stakes horse race on large screen monitors. LiFT is a not-for-profit educational organization dedicated to helping students with
neuro-diversities to reach their potential academically, while teaching them the developmental skills necessary for gaining their
independence.

The Honorable Bob Dillinger, the sixth Circuit
public defender, and his wife Kay founded
the Beth Dillinger Foundation in memory of
their daughter Beth.
