Before attaching the rest of the borders, fold the mitered edge of
each mitered corner back and away from the seams.

Next, stitch the mitered corners together on all 4 corners.

Use scissors to trim away the excess fabric bulk in the corners
where the butterfly seams are bunched.
Repeat steps L through P, until you have attached all 4 sides, then
pin the mitered corners together.
Once all 4 corners have been joined to the quilt top, use a steam
iron to butterfly press the remaining seams open.
Now that your quilt top has been assembled, it is time to add the
back fabric and binding.
