Doggone Reading Fun
Paws for Friendship Inc. brings
therapy-trained dogs for 20-minute
reading sessions. Reluctant readers, or
children who might not enjoy reading
aloud, are often eager to read in the
presence of an adoring and nonjudgmental
pup.

Homework Help
Bright Futures scholars assist
elementary-aged children with their
homework and reading. Call to
reserve a 30-minute session up to one
week in advance. Walk-ins will be

basis and may be limited to 20

Participants will take and use
photographs to gain a real
understanding of whole numbers,
integers and fractions. Use a digital

Budding Bookworms
Help your preschooler get ready to
read. Join us weekly for an interactive,
early literacy program designed for

Makin' Ukulele Music: Kids
Strum & Sing
This program is led by members of
the Tampa Bay Ukulele Society.
Attendees will play songs
they learned during summer
workshops and easy songs
using two to four chords.
Review the chords C, Am,
F and G7. The group may
even learn a new chord or two
while strumming and singing
together. Bring your ukulele
if you have one. A limited
number of loaner ukuleles
will be available. The
chords and lyrics will be
projected on the screen
for all to see. Parents are
encouraged to join in
the fun and sing or play
along.
