SEPTEMBER/OCTOBER 2019 | TAMPA BAY MAGAZINE 153
Florida artist Milton Rochman, who is now in his
80s and has colorful works in major collections
throughout the country, is ready to share the
original pieces he has retained for himself over
the years. While he no longer creates works for sale, he
still paints for his own pleasure, presenting these works
to those he chooses as a symbol of his love and respect
for them.
Rochman paints from his dreams, using his incredible
talent to create his views of the pleasures of life. Love,
romance and music flow onto canvases with vibrant colors
and bold brush strokes to create his memorable paintings.
On Friday, September 27th, Rochman will display and
sell his original works during a complimentary evening
of art and music at Romantika, Dunedin’s newest event
venue at 461 Grant St., where visitors will be entertained
by Kafkasso, the band led by Daryal “Kafkasso” Erdem.
He is a guitar player from Istanbul, Turkey, who leads an
ensemble of talented artists from 14 nations to create the
stylistic sounds of many cultures.
The 6 p.m. evening at Romantika is free, open to the
public, and may be your last chance to purchase a Milton
Rochman painting directly from the artist at what are
promised to be bargain prices. 9
