Stageworks Gala 13
“Come as Thou Art,” Stageworks’ 13th annual gala benefit in Tampa was an evening of over-the-top creativity and theatrically
inspired fun. Stageworks Theatre, located in Tampa’s downtown Channel District, is known for its challenging, relevant productions.
It is celebrating its 36th year, which makes it Tampa’s longest-running professional theater company. The event was held at the
Bryan Glazer Family Jewish Community Center.
Cynthia and Mark Carron, who are familiar
faces at charitable events on both sides of
Tampa Bay, enjoyed the artsy evening of
cocktails, dining and dancing.
Karla Hartley, Stageworks’ producing artistic
director, and her wife Noreen Maier were
pleased that the 13th annual gala was filled to
capacity with supporters.
Geoff Simon and his wife Andrea Graham,
the gala’s chair, center, were happy that
their son Spencer Simon, left, and daughter
Hannah Simon, right, attended Stageworks’

Dave Dibbs and Pat Fenda, an entertainer,
arts instructor and former Stageworks board
president, dressed in creative attire as the
invitation instructed.
Lauren Valiente, a litigation lawyer,
community leader and president of
Stageworks’ board of directors, thanked the
gala evening’s guests for their support of the
company.
Drs. Pallavi and Kiran Patel enjoyed the
party, which will help Stageworks’ outreach
education programs support the more than
5,000 at-risk youths it serves.
