SD), the Beef Empire Days PRCA Rodeo (Garden City, KS), the
Mineral Wells (TX) Rodeo and the Rose City Roundup (Tyler, TX).
Co-Champion at the Caldwell (IA) Night Rodeo and the Greeley
(CO) Stampede. Won the Ram Texas (Waco) Circuit Finals Rodeo,
with Colby Lovell.
2016: (Partner Clay Smith) Placed in six rounds to rank second
at the Wrangler National Finals Rodeo (WNFR). He finished
fourth in the World Standings with 219,900 dollars. Won the
Southwestern Exposition and Livestock Show (Fort Worth, TX),
the National Western Stock Show and Rodeo (Denver, CO), the
Pasadena Livestock Show and Rodeo Champions Challenge
presented by Justin Boots, the Lawton (OK) Rangers Rodeo,
the Dodge City, (KS) Roundup Rodeo and the Canby (OR) Rodeo.
Co-Champion at the Strawberry Days Rodeo (Pleasant Grove, UT).
2015: (Partner Clay Smith) Placed in four rounds at the WNFR.
Won the Deadwood (SD) Days of ‘76 Rodeo, the Mountain Valley
Stampede (Heber City, UT), That Famous Preston (IA) Night Rodeo
and the Gladewater (TX) Round-Up Rodeo. Co-Champion at the
Beef Empire Days PRCA Rodeo (Garden City, KS). Finished twelfth
in the World Standings with 121,699 dollars.
This is Paul’s fifth Wrangler National Finals Rodeo where he
will start in second place in the heeling standings. He has won
117,212 dollars during this year’s regular season roping with
Clay Smith.
It’s a partnership that has been ongoing for three years and
they have already started their 2018 season together. Paul had
career earnings of 871,865 dollars through the 2016 season.
Adding in what he has already won in 2017 and for 2018, he has
surpassed one million dollars in earnings in the PRCA.
Paul attended four-time World Champion Allen Bach’s roping
school when he was starting out in the sport. Rodeo heroes
include Bach, Clay O’Brien Cooper, Walt Woodard and Rich
Skelton. Eaves has teamed up with Kelsey Parchman to win
100,000 dollars on his eighteenth birthday at the 2008 Wildfire
Open in Salado, Texas. His favorite rodeo is Fort Worth (TX)
Stock Show & Rodeo.
