Boccacio is a certifi ed personal trainer
specializing in pre-and-post rehabilitation. He
recently had hip replacement surgery and
said the scar from the procedure has faded
drastically. He credits the spring water for the
quick healing.
“The gentle resistance of the water is
amazing for any type of therapy,” he said.
“Once you receive clearance from your
physician to get in the water, my recommendation
for any injury is to get in this water as
soon as possible. Local residents should really
enjoy this treasure they have right in their own
backyard.”
Europeans have been coming to the springs
since word fi rst spread about the local
fountain of youth. At certain times during
the season, busloads of Polish, Russian and
Ukrainian tourists come down from
enclaves in New York,
Boston and Chicago.
