Of the many ways to give
your home a fresh new
look and feel, updating
the kitchen is practical
because economically, you should
see the value of your home increase
to at least the cost of your remodeling
and perhaps even more. You probably
spend more hours awake in your
kitchen than in any other room of
your home. It is the heart of most
homes and the room that is most used
to entertain.
The remodeling experience is
not easy to do, so be sure to find an
experienced contractor. To keep us
on track, we spoke to Angela Smith
of One Stop Kitchens & Baths, which
has showrooms in St. Petersburg and
Oldsmar. She suggests that you begin by
considering how you use your kitchen
and then gather ideas from as many
sources as you can from magazines
and local kitchen showrooms. Next,
you will need to plan the layout and
choose the designer style. You will need
this to determine if the costs will fit
within your budget. If they don’t, be
prepared to make choices about what
is most important to you. Add another
10 percent to your budget, as there are
almost always additional unforeseen
expenses. Using a good contractor is
the best way to proceed.
A kitchen such as this one, designed and built by
One Stop Kitchens & Baths, is a joy to have and will
enhance the value of your home.
