Judith Lisi, CEO of the Straz Center
in Tampa, has announced the opening
of SIP, a beverage provider located
inside an Airstream Safari Land Yacht
at the southern end of Straz Center’s
Riverwalk expanse. It offers cocktails
and a rotating selection of local craft
brews on tap in addition to smoothies,
coffee, soft drinks and water. The Straz
is one of a handful of facilities licensed
by the city to provide to-go cups for
alcohol. These specially designed
cups are available at SIP so that guests
can take their libations with them as
they explore the Riverwalk. “The
addition of SIP to our lineup of food
and beverage offerings allows us to
extend to our guests yet another layer
to their performing arts experience,”
said Javier Rasmussen, the Straz
Center’s general manager of food and
beverage. “Whether folks are here for a
Broadway show, one of our free outdoor
community events, or just strolling
along the Riverwalk, SIP promises to
be a casual urban oasis with a stunning
view and cool vibe.”
