Frank Hibbard, the former mayor of Clearwater and vice president of
Steward Partners Global Advisory that offers securities through Raymond
James Financial Services, has taken over as the chair of the board of directors
of Clearwater’s Ruth Eckerd Hall. As the previous vice chair of the organization,
Frank is well acquainted with the goals and visions of Ruth Eckerd Hall and
is looking forward to the conclusion of its expansion and renovation this fall.

Regional Chamber’s 2019 Large
Hospitality Business of the Year Award
for the Bon Appétit Hospitality Group,
which includes Bon Appétit and Café
Alfresco in downtown Dunedin and
operates other locations in places such
as Sand Key Park, Caladesi Island and
Honeymoon Island. For 43 years, Bon
Appétit has been one of the area’s most
innovative restaurants where elegant
dining, superb service and beautiful
views have made it very worthy of this
recognition. Their lobster roll is a popular

Dunedin Fine Art Center’s
Sterling Society’s Patron of
the Arts award.
The Sterling Society of the Dunedin Fine Art Center’s twelfth annual Founders
Luncheon that was chaired by the society’s president Linda Wittmershaus-Macik
featured keynote speaker Dr. Barbara Hubbard and the presentation of the 2019
Patron of the Arts award to master pastelist Brooke Allison. Barbara is the academic
chair for humanities and digital media at St. Petersburg College’s Seminole Campus
and is a longtime supporter of the Dunedin Fine Art Center. She spoke about
“The New Gig: The Future of Visual Media.” Brooke Allison is a nationally recognized
master pastelist, figure artist, oil painter and a founder of the Pastel Society of
Tampa Bay. She has been a popular instructor at the Dunedin art center since 1983.
The Sterling Society’s vice president Sara Kessinger presented the award, which
included a pastel painting by one of Brooke’s students Mary Louise Pollock. The
Sterling Society members inspire, connect, educate and entertain while supporting
the Dunedin Fine Art Center.

New Bank of Tampa Office
The Bank of Tampa is building a new
45,000-square-foot office and banking center
at 4400 N. Armenia Ave. in Tampa to replace
the banking office that is currently there. The
new office will have a drive through, ATM, night
deposit services, safe deposit boxes and covered
client parking. David Moore, the bank’s chief
operating officer, says that the project will bring
employees together to foster communication and
collaboration throughout the company. The bank
opened its first office at this location in 1984. It now
has 12 offices throughout Hillsborough, Pinellas
and Sarasota counties.
