This kitchen was remodeled with AristoKraft cabinets,
stainless sink/faucet/appliances, and quartz countertop.
The right firm will lead you through the design phase with
space planning, floor plans and schematic designs. You need
to think about how you use your space and what features are
most important to you. Balancing costs with the work to be
completed will require some practical decisions about your
renovations.
Then you can begin to choose finishes, styles and materials for
your cabinets, countertops, flooring, backsplash and decorative
hardware. Once you have done this, you will want to select
your appliances so the design can be finalized, the floor plan
completed, and the application started for the building permit.
Don’t let anyone talk you into skipping the permitting step.
There are good reasons to have everything approved by your
local building authority. When your plans are approved, you
will be ready for demolition. It takes a while to get to this
point, but these initial steps are crucial to the outcome.

Be prepared to have your kitchen shut down for several weeks
or more. You may want to set up a temporary kitchen in another
location in your home, or simply plan to dine out while the
work is underway.
After the work is completed, develop a punch list of those
little things that were missed, forgotten or damaged. Your
contractor should take care of these items immediately so that
you can start to enjoy your new kitchen. 9
