Run the next machine step, which will be the tacking stitch for the
batting.
Using scissors, trim away the excess batting on all sides of the
quilt block.

Once the batting is trimmed away, your block should look
something like this.
Place the base fabric face up, covering the batting and leaving
1/2” seam allowance on all sides of the block.
Begin by hooping a piece of No Show Mesh stabilizer to fit the
hoop. Then run the first machine step, which will be the squaring
stitch for the batting.
Place the batting over the squaring stitches, making sure to cover
them on all sides.
