Step by Step BLOCKS
The first step is to hoop a piece of No-Show Mesh and run the
squaring stitch.
Run the tacking stitch to hold the batting in place, then trim away
the excess batting up to the tacking stitch.
Next, take a piece of batting and place it on top of the squaring
stitch. Make sure the batting completely covers the squaring stitch
on all sides.
Place the base fabric face up on top of the batting. Leave 1⁄2”
seam allowance on all sides.
NOTE: We suggest using fusible interfacing like Pellon 101 for
all base fabric.
Using a matching thread, run the tacking stitch for the base fabric. Follow the machine steps to complete the decorative embroidery
steps up to the placement stitch for the first appliqué.
NOTE: On many blocks, there will be a step for underlay
stitches, which help stabilize the appliqué and embroidery.
