Memorial Stadium to the Black
Bears.
The Enka Jets will be Pisgah’s
opponent for its home opener
the following week (Aug. 30)
before the Black Bears travel
across the county to try and
make it seven-in-a-row against
Tuscola (Sept. 6).
Pisgah holds a 28-26-1
advantage in the greatest high
school football rivalry in North
Carolina.
After their first open date,
the Black Bears travel to
another powerhouse in East
Rutherford on Sept. 20.
After playing three road
games at Murphy, at Tuscola
and at East Rutherford,
Pisgah may need a cupcake.
Well, the Black Bears won’t
get it as Week 6 (Oct. 27)
opponent will be Mountain
Heritage as the Cougars
invade Memorial Stadium in
Canton.
Pisgah opens the Mountain
Six Conference play Week
8 (Oct. 11) at home against
Smoky. Then the Black Bears
travel the next two weeks
to East Henderson (Oct.
18) and to Hendersonville
(Oct. 25) before wrapping up
the regular season at home
against Franklin (Nov. 1)
and Brevard (Nov. 8).
