Continue through the machine steps, following the process
for adding embroidery and appliqué as previously shown.
Stop just before the first placement stitch for the folded fabric
border. Your block should look something like this.
Place your folded fabric strip right side facing down. Make
sure you overlap the placement stitch by at least 1⁄8.” Double
check that your fabric will cover the entire placement stitch
once folded, including 1⁄2” seam allowance.
Run the next machine step, which will be the placement stitch
for the first piece of folded fabric border.

Fold the fabric along the folding line until taut, giving it a
finger crease. Then use tape to secure the fabric in place.
Continue to the next machine step, which will be the
folding stitch.
Run the next machine step, which is the tacking stitch for the
folded fabric strip.
