Police Body CAMERAS
Clearwater Police Department
went live with its body
camera program,
equipping sergeants and
officers in the Patrol
Division with the
cameras, in addition to
specialty units such as
SWAT and the Special
Enforcement Unit. The
cameras have worked
to fulfill our continuing
pledge of transparency
to the community, and the
new technology has been a
benefit to citizens and officers
alike. In some cases, we have been able
to resolve citizen complaints by simply
viewing the video from the body camera.
