To Life: To the Arts
The Florida Holocaust Museum’s Executive Director Beth Gelman welcomed guests to this annual fundraiser at the
Mahaffey Theater in St. Petersburg. The Museum is keeping the voices and lessons of the Holocaust alive and teaching the
worth and dignity of human life in hopes of preventing future genocides. Holocaust survivor and artist Samuel Bak was
presented with the Loebenberg Humanitarian Award for his contributions to the Museum.

Mayor Rick Kriseman discussed the growth
of the Museum over the years.
Rachael Worthington, who is a vice chair of
the Museum, and her husband Don became
involved with F.H.M., as Rachael’s father
was a liberator during World War II.
Dr. Jerry Barbosa and his wife Carol enjoyed
the performance of Ittai Shapira’s musical
composition “The Ethics.”
Rabbi Gary Klein of Temple Ahavat Shalom
in Palm Harbor and his wife Eileen support
the efforts of the Museum and
NORAA
its noble mission. Joy and Loren Pollack were sponsors of
the “To Life” event, and Joy is a member of
the Museum’s Leadership Council.
Steve Greenbaum, a member of the Museum’s
board of directors, and his wife Judy Genshaft,
the president and CEO of the University
of South Florida, are proud F.H.M. supporters.
