Cattle Baron’s Ball
The American Cancer Society held its 19th annual Cattle Baron’s Ball in Tampa’s Waterworks Park, next to Ū-lë-lē
Restaurant on the Hillsborough riverfront in Tampa. Carmine and Kris Lacognata were the event chairs of this two-steppin’,
grazin’, sippin’ and partyin’ fundraiser, and Richard and Melanie Gonzmart were the honorary chairs. The Gonzmart Family
Foundation sponsored the grub and fixin’s in their usual spectacular style. The funds raised at this event help support the
research, education, advocacy and patient services provided by the American Cancer Society in its fight to eliminate cancer.
Fay Lazaris and Fazal Fazlin were happy to aid
the American Cancer Society as it fights back
against the disease.
Peggy and Keith Leclerc, the owners of the
International Diamond Centers, donated a
$7,000 diamond necklace to the Ball
that raised over $10,000 for the Society.
Richard and Melanie Gonzmart of the Columbia
Restaurant family were the honorary chairs, as
well as generous supporters of this fundraiser.
