Appraising in Alaska
Appraising in New Mexico shares many of the same challenges. As a pilot, I
rural unpaved road where there is no MLS and residents who do not easily
share personal information. While our mountains are not as high as Alaska’s,
ground - which begins at about 4K. I must admit that GPS has helped
headings. Another exciting feature are spring (mostly) winds exceeding 50
clouds and occur on the leeward side of our mountains. Great fun between
bouts of anxiety.

What to Expect When You Go to Court
Under important things to remember, I believe Mr. Rikon is indicating that the witness should not
be taking leads from retaining counsel. Eye contact with the attorney conducting cross examina-
type of work, make sure your retaining counsel knows this and that you request (almost demand)
a thorough prep with retaining counsel prior to deposition and/or trial. Make sure the prep is not
in the elevator going up to the deposition or trial. Some attorneys seem to forget that not all of us
outside the legal world understand the ins and outs of the court room and what not to say. As to Mr.
Siegel’s comment, copies are great. Make sure you have a copy for you, retaining counsel, opposing
