ON APPRAISAL CAREER OPPORTUNITIES

I’ve been going to appraisal classes and conferences
������������������������������������������������������������������������������������������������������������
that a few things always hold true. I’m one of the
few women in the classroom, almost all of us are of
the same race, and almost everyone has gray hair
(or would have if we didn’t color it – myself included
these days).
It turns out that I’m not alone in that experience. Per
the Appraisal Institute’s U.S. Valuation Profession
Fact Sheet Q1 2019, 50.7% of appraisers are between
the ages of 51 to 65, and an additional 20.1% are 66
and over.
