3,199 acres for picnicking, canoeing, hiking,
horseback riding, camping, hunting and
fishing. Historic Allaire Village was the site
of a forge from the late 1700s. Living history
demonstrations and events are held in the
village buildings.

Site of the Belmar Station built in 1913–14 by
the Marconi Wireless Telegraph Company;
advances developed here, including
transatlantic radio, radar, satellites, LEDs and
night-vision goggles, have been used by the
US military since WWII. The site is home to
InfoAge: A Science/History Learning Center
and Museum, the National Broadcasters Hall
of Fame, the NJ Antique Radio Club Museum,
and a WWII Living Memorial.

This ornate 130-room mansion, designed by
Horace Trumbauer and Julian Abele (the first
African-American professional architect) and
built in 1929, is a national historic landmark.
It now serves as the administrative building of
Monmouth University and was the set of the
Warbucks mansion in the 1980 film “Annie.”

A unique reminder of the African-American
legacy in NJ, Heath Farm was founded by
a former slave after the Civil War and offers
historic exhibits on 19th-century farming and

This estate and former mill village includes

County’s late-19th-century agricultural
heritage. Historical interpreters in period
