Ocean Grove, a quaint seaside town on the National
Register of Historic Places and home to the nation’s largest
assemblage of Victorian architecture, offers pristine beaches,
tree-lined streets, serene boardwalk and parks, unique
eateries, outstanding inns and an eclectic shopping district.
What began in 1869 as a Victorian-era camp meeting site
has become one of the Jersey Shore’s finest year-round
seaside resorts. Visitors and locals enjoy the beach, the
old-fashioned oceanfront boardwalk and Main Avenue
shops and outdoor cafés.
Ocean Grove kicks off the year with a Spring Fling Arts
& Crafts show, and hosts flea markets, car shows and
festivals through the summer and into the fall. Take time
to stroll through Ocean Grove’s Tent City, 114 elaborately
landscaped tent structures nestled around the historic
Great Auditorium. A short stroll from lively entertainment
hub Asbury Park, Ocean Grove is a quieter, family friendly
complement to Asbury’s bustling downtown. It is easily
accessible by NJ TRANSIT’s North Jersey Coast Line to
the Asbury Park train station.
