Although inspired by Early French and American
architecture, this dining room from Matter Bros.
Furniture is crafted of bleached and sanded
reclaimed wood. This rustic look is enhanced by
the use of two different styles of chairs and the
addition of slate, stone and cast-iron accents that
add a new dimension to the room’s look.
Known for his discerning
eye and bold, trendsetting
ideas, the legendary interior
designer Angelo Donghia once
said, “I owe my color sense to
crayons.” I choose to interpret
that as meaning that each of us
has experienced a wide variety of
influences that have sparked our
imagination at one time or another.
