A Success Story
E & E Stakeout Grill Celebrates 30 Years

THIS STORY BEGAN IN THE
mid-1970s, when Eugen Fuhrmann
and his wife Eileen moved to the
Tampa Bay area from Bermuda, where
he had been the chef/owner of The
Lobster Pot Restaurant. Eugen opened
The Lobster Pot Restaurant in Redington
Shores with Chef Erwin Scheuringer, who
had moved here with them, as the chef in
1978. They sold the restaurant, which had
become an area institution, in 1999.
Eugen partnered with Chef Erwin in
1985 to open a gourmet restaurant in The
Plaza shopping center in Belleair Bluffs.
They named it Eugen’s Restaurant,
although most people pronounced it as
“Eugene’s” or “Eugin’s” rather than the
correct “Oygen’s.” In 1995, Eugen and
Erwin expanded Eugen’s and changed
the name to E & E Stakeout Grill after the
first letters in their names. They gave it a
whole new, less formal look and ambience
that was more suited to its larger size and
award-winning establishments that are
known for their service and generosity
to the community, as well as for their
extraordinary food, service, presentation
and décor. Dining at any one of these fine
dining spots is always a treat. In the 30
years that Eugen and Erwin have been
pleasing customers in Belleair Bluffs,
many others have come and gone; but,
E & E continues its tradition to the benefit
of all who dine there.
