Welcome Reception for
All Children’s
All Children’s Hospital Johns Hopkins Medicine in St. Petersburg welcomed its second annual class of medical residents,
as it bid farewell to its first class during a reception given by the Hospital’s trustees and Foundation at the waterfront home
of Melissa and Darryl LeClaire. The residents are from different areas and schools from around the country and will spend
a year of comprehensive, hands-on experience as part of All Children’s innovative program to help train new doctors in
the field of pediatrics.
Dwane Hawkins, a trustee of All Children’s
Hospital, and his wife Jo Anne enjoyed visiting
with fellow Hospital supporters and meeting
the new medical residents.
Nancy and Steve Westphal provided the
heavy hors d’oeuvres prepared and served
by Chef Tyson Grant and his staff from their
Parkshore Grill in St. Petersburg.
Darryl LeClair, an All Children’s board
member, and his wife Melissa opened their
St. Petersburg mansion to welcome the
Hospital’s new doctors in residency.
Sylvia Ameen, the vice president of
All Children’s Hospital Foundation, who
helped coordinate the reception, attended
with her philanthropic husband Ed.
Neighbors Joyce and Walter Larson of Larson
Communities expressed their admiration for
their hostess Melissa’s talent at both designing
and decorating the LeClair’s home.
A.K. and Sema Desai walked to the reception
from their nearby home to help the LeClairs
welcome All Children’s new residents to
the Tampa Bay area.
