Red Cross Angels’ Silver Brunch
The Red Cross Angels’ 2016 Silver Brunch, which benefited the American Red Cross of Tampa Bay’s Service to the Armed Forces
Program, was held in the Bayshore Boulevard, Tampa, home of Carmen and Harry Barkett. The brunch, which was co-chaired by the
Angels’ President Peggy Gill and Vice President Pauline Holovak, honored Gen. Ann Dunwoody, U.S. Army retired, who was the first
woman to become a four-star general. The event also celebrated the 75th anniversary of MacDill Air Force Base in Tampa. The committee
members created the desserts, while Rita Carlino’s Catering donated the food, Rita Carlino’s Beyond the Beyond Floral Creations
donated the flowers, and Amalie Motor Oil, where Harry Barkett is CEO and president, donated the music, beverages and decorations.
YMCA’s Grape Escape
The Palm Harbor branch of the YMCA had its 14th annual garden party under the stars, which was called “The Grape Escape.”
All the proceeds benefit the Greater Palm Harbor YMCA and are used to support their programs for the community.
