The original Silver Coffee was created in 1978 to generate funding for the Gulf Coast Division of the Children’s Home Society of
Florida. The party, which became famous for the homemade food prepared by the committee members, has morphed into a coed
buffet dinner. Since 1902, the Children’s Home Society of Florida has been offering services to children and their families to break
the tragic cycles of abuse and neglect.
