The Love of Three Kings by Italo Montemezzi
will be Sarasota Opera’s fourth opera of the
winter season. The company also performed
this early 20th century masterpiece in 2003.
Tenor Matthew Vickers will make his principal
artist debut and Metropolitan Opera bass
Kevin Short will return as the blind King
Archibaldo. Maestro Victor DeRenzi, the
company’s artistic director, will conduct.

Suncoast Hospice Fashion Show International
The 24th annual Suncoast Hospice
Fashion Show, Luncheon and
Boutique, Celebrate the Seasons,
will be on Saturday, March 25th, at
Innisbrook Resort and Golf Club in
Palm Harbor. This popular fundraiser
showcases the best of the fashions and
accessories that have been generously
donated to the Suncoast Hospice
Resale Shoppes. They will be worn
by community models in a staged runway fashion show. Many fabulous finds are
available for purchase in the boutique beginning at 9 a.m. Proceeds ensure and
enhance the programs of Empath Health and its integrated network of care, which
in addition to hospice care, include home health and physician services, independent
living assistance and day care for seniors, palliative care and HIV services, plus

Miniature Art Show
The Miniature Art Society of Florida is
presenting its 42nd annual International
Miniature Art Show at the Leepa-Rattner
Museum of Art in Tarpon Springs from
January 15th through February 5th. The
show will feature more than 700 works
of art, including the society’s permanent
collection of more than 100 miniatures.
The society was founded in 1974 to
raise awareness of this venerable art
form. The entries were submitted from
around the world and artists will be
demonstrating the techniques they use to
create these small masterpieces. For more

Art Festival Beth-El
The 44th annual Art Festival Beth-El will be
held at Temple Beth-El at 400 Pasadena Avenue
South in St. Petersburg on Saturday, January
28th through Monday, January 30th. This fine
art exhibition and sale will showcase more
than 170 national and international awardwinning
artists. It is one of the premier art
shows in the Southeast for original paintings,
wood, sculpture, ceramics, glass, photography
and jewelry. The event is free and open to the
public on Sunday and Monday. There will
be a Saturday evening preview party that is
