This live Disney “statue” is the
type of surprise you can expect
when visiting the new
Disney Springs.
Disney Springs has been
reimagined from the
former Downtown Disney.
We were fortunate to see a drone show
while at Disney Springs. The show was
unbelievable, and made us wonder how
Disney could manipulate the heavens and
get the stars to form moving images. What
we thought were bright stars turned out to be
300 drones that were being flown in detailed
formations with coordinated colored lights
that were controlled by a computer. This is the
first time it was ever done in the United States.
At the Magic Kingdom, the light shows
on Cinderella’s Castle fascinated us with
their moving images. However, it was the
Frozen show with its live performances and
the “Disney Magic” that turned the castle into
ice that really wowed us.
The next evening, we visited Hollywood
Studios to see its all-new nighttime spectacular
“Jingle Bell, Jingle BAM,” a state-of-the-art
projection show with special effects, fireworks
set to an original musical score and even snow.
It truly was a most magical time of the
year. 9
