Society of the Museum of Fine
Arts, St. Petersburg, is pairing
wine and chocolate for its winebased
fundraiser, Wine Weekend St.
Pete 2017: Wine and Chocol’Art. This
multi-faceted benefit is being chaired
by Beth and John England. The first
event is a Coastal Chic Party on Friday,
February 10th at the museum where the
Mad Beach Band will entertain, as guests
enjoy wine and chocolates. The next
evening, Saturday, February 11th will be
an evening to Paint the Town Red, White
and Chocolate, also at the Museum of
Fine Arts, St. Petersburg. Tyson Grant,
the executive chef of Parkshore Grill, will
serve a gourmet dinner paired with wines.
The TomKats Jazz Orchestra will provide
musical entertainment for dancing.
The following week, on Saturday,
February 18th, the highlight will be the
1,000 Points of Wine Gourmet Dinner in
the Rolls-Royce Tampa Bay showroom
in Pinellas Park. The dinner will feature
five incredible courses curated by Chefs
David Varley and Jeffrey Hileman of the
San Francisco-based Mina Group. The
meal will be paired with 10 wines, each
of which has been given a 100 rating by
Robert Parker’s The Wine Advocate. The
donation for this dinner is a lofty $1,800
per person.
