Trim away the 2 additional pieces of batting from around the
trapunto tacking stitches.
It may be easier to trim the additional batting one layer at a time.
Next, place your base fabric. Be sure to cover the placement
stitch on all sides, including enough fabric for your seam
allowance.

The final machine step is decorative stitching. It will include
outlining of the trapunto areas as well as cross-hatch quilt
stitching.
Run the next machine step, which is a tacking stitch for the
base fabric.

Your quilt block is now complete!
With the embroidery finished, remove your block from the hoop.
Trim the block to a 1⁄2” seam allowance using a straight edge and
rotary cutter.
