Button Hole
Button Placement
PUTTING ALL THE
PIECES TOGETHER
Creating a Festive Door Dangler is like solving
the easiest puzzle ever. Each of the 6 designs has
between 6 to 8 hoopings to make all the body parts
needed to complete these cute danglers. Each
hooping has a face, body, arms and legs.
Though there are several hooping, each one is
quick and easy, with just a few appliqués and some
decorative stitches. The last steps of each hooping
contain button holes or placement stitches for the
buttons.
Once you’re finished stitching out the pieces, it gets
even more fun. Pick out some fun buttons and attach
them right on top of the placement “X.” Then make a
home for each button by opening up the button holes.
Now join all the parts together, and just in case you’re
not very good at puzzles, we have the “solutions” later
in the tutorial, showing you where each piece goes.
Finish up your design by sewing a ribbon onto the top
edge of the head or hat. Your dangler is now ready
to hang on your door and greet your friends and any
passersby!
