Located in the very heart
of Gulfport across
from the casino, this
restaurant specializes
in seafood and Greek cuisine.
Accordingly, the appetizers
include the popular flaming cheese called
Saganaki, delicious calamari and grilled
octopus, along with traditional fare that
ranges from grouper nuggets to Oysters
Rockefeller with creamy spinach and
Hollandaise sauce. In all, they offer twenty
appetizers, ranging from Maryland Crab
Cakes to fresh spinach pie in phyllo dough,
so it is likely you will find whatever you
like. They serve several soups and salads,
beginning with a traditional Greek salad,
along with Caesar’s, Spinach, a house salad
and a Chicken Salad Platter. You can add
shrimp, chicken or gyro meat to any of
these. In addition, our favorite salad is the
Horiatiki Salad of tomatoes, cucumbers,
green peppers, onions, Kalamata olives,
oregano, pepperoncinis and feta cheese,
batter, Greek-style or its
own Mediterranean style.
There are Maryland Crab
Cakes, Shrimp Scampi, fried
scallops, stuffed flounder
and fried cod served fishand
chips style.
There is a full bar, a reasonable wine list
and the friendly, helpful service is what
you would expect if you were staying
with a Greek family in their home. They
just want you to sit back and relax while
they attend to your comfort and desires.
Don’t leave until you have had one of their
desserts. The Key lime pie, baklava, rice
pudding, carrot cake and chocolate cake
are pleasing ways to end your meal, but
for us, the Sea Salted Caramel Cheesecake
was worthy of being the cause to suspend
any diet. 9

which is large enough to share.
The Greek dishes are authentic and will
meet any expectations you have for these
world-renowned Mediterranean creations.
The Neptune Chicken sautéed in olive oil
and topped with feta, the Grilled Chicken
Souvlaki, gyros, spinach pie, stuffed grape
leaves, pastitsio and moussaka are generous
portions packed with flavor.
For lighter dining, they offer a host of
sandwiches, but if you want more, there
are four pastas and four chicken dishes
that range from picatta to Parmesan. The
lamb chops are sensational, as is the filet
mignon that can also be ordered with a
bacon wrap and topped with bleu cheese.
Seafood lovers will be blown away by
the grouper that can be prepared fried,
grilled, blackened, in a crunchy almond
