C hef James Keene and his wife
Lizzy first opened Pisces Sushi
and Global Bistro in Clearwater on
State Road 580 just west of U.S. 19.
Their restaurant there was an immediate
success, known for its delicious, creative
offerings made from its top quality, fresh
ingredients. They began looking for a larger
space, which they found in downtown
Dunedin. They converted a former Italian
restaurant location with ample indoor and
outdoor seating into Pisces. It features Chef
James’ original sushi rolls and his clever
internationally themed recipes, such as
Jamaican Me Crazy Shrimp, Aztec Roll,
Swamp Thing sushi roll and Wasabi Caesar
Salad.
The modern casual décor of the bistro
fits well with its extensive menu of
appetizers, salads and soups, along with
its beef, poultry and seafood items. Chef

In 2016, Pisces won the Grand Jury
Award in Tampa Bay’s Sushi Battle

sea scallops, panko asparagus, avocado
and cream cheese that was topped with
yellowtail, Yuzu salmon mousse, saffron
miso, chipotle and roasted garlic sauce.
Chef James never stops finding new and
exciting ways to make his customers smile.
Pisces is open Tuesday through
Saturday. From 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. each day,
Pisces has a happy hour with specials on
drinks, rolls and appetizers. 9
